Puller guide
Disassembly
Many ball bearings are located on a shaft, in a housing or even both together. To ensure non-destructive dismounting, a special type of extractor is required. First, the ball bearing to be extracted should be determined along with its dimensions. For the selection of the right extractor it is important whether the bearing is to be destroyed or whether it is to be reused.
Disassembly Tutorial
Our KUKKO testimonial Eric introduces two different methods for ball bearing disassembly. There are also practical tips on how to install the bearing.
-
Series 69
The ball bearing extraction sets of series 69 are used for extracting ball bearings of all designs which are seated in a housing and/or on a shaft. This type of dismounting destroys the ball bearing.
-
Drilling out the ball bearing
The cage of the damaged ball bearing must be drilled out so that the hemispheres of the drawing dies can be screwed in. Chips may be produced in the process.
-
Series 70-0
The 70 series ball bearing extractors are used for the non-destructive extraction of deep groove ball bearings without removing the shaft. With this type of dismounting, the ball bearing remains undamaged and can be reused.
-
The specially developed trigger hooks engage precisely in the bearing raceway of the ball bearing. This special design ensures optimum hold and guarantees higher removal forces.
-
For the non-destructive extraction of roller ball bearings, which are located in a housing but there is no shaft to support them, the PULLPO can be connected to a slide hammer. For this extraction process, the spindle is turned around and screwed into the PULLPO from below so that the slide hammer can be used.
-
Thanks to the self-tensioning of the hooks and a thrust piece simulating the shaft, the ball bearing can be removed by upward impact movements.
